Parnell is a suburb of Auckland, and has existed since Auckland was founded in 1841. To the west of Parnell is the Auckland Domain, to the south Newmarket, and to the north is the commercial area of St Georges Bay with mainly office space.

Ascot Parnell is a quiet place to stay, yet a moments stroll from the Village cafes, restaurants, craft-shops and art galleries, and within minutes from the city centre (1 mile/1.5 km) and main tourist attractions, such as the Parnell Rose Gardens, downtown ferries, America's Cup Village and Waitemata Harbour.
